Restore Deleted File From SharePoint
Step 1: Access the Recycle Bin
- Go to the SharePoint site where the items were deleted.

In SharePoint, find the Recycle Bin on the bottom left Quick Launch bar.

If you don’t see it, go to Settings > Site contents—the Recycle Bin is in the top right.
Step 2: Restore Deleted Items
- In the Recycle Bin, select the files or folders you want to restore.

Click Restore - this will return them to their original location.

Important Notes
- Deleted items stay in the Recycle Bin for 93 days before being permanently deleted.
- If an item isn’t in the Recycle Bin, a site collection administrator may still be able to recover it.
- You cannot restore a file if its parent folder or library has been deleted—restore the folder/library first.
- If a file with the same name exists, SharePoint will append a number to the restored file.
